Hey, I'm Skylar!

My passion for hair started at a very young age. I'm not sure if it was when I gave myself my first haircut at age 2, or maybe when I taught myself to braid using a Betty Spaghetti. Either way, by the time I hit middle school I was giving all my best friends bangs and coloring their hair in the bathtub. I think my hands knew I was going to be doing hair before my mind ever did!

Growing up in Bourbonnais, I decided to stay local and in 2013 I started my hair career by joining a local Paul Mitchell School. I haven't looked back! I have worked at a couple salons in the area and in April of 2020 I moved into my own studio suite and started specializing in all things blonde! I finally achieved my dreams! Throughout the years I have been able to watch my fellow stylists as well as attend many classes to further my education! I have found my love in both Joico and Monat! While I have worked with several different brands, I can't help but fall farther in love with every new color and Joico comes out with and all Monat's incredible products!

Throughout my life my family and friends would agree that I have always had an artistic side! In high school I spent most of my time in art related classes, or finding an excuse to go to the art room. I am so happy to be able to use YOUR hair as MY canvas! While I love creating masterpieces with hair, my biggest concern is always your hair health! I want you to love the way your color shines and the way your hair feels all the same.

On my days off you might run into me at a local music festival, or shooting pool at a nearby pub! You might even see me grocery shopping at Meijer (my favorite store EVER)! I always like to call Meijer my one stop shop, and I would love to be YOUR one stop shop for all your blonding needs! You will always walk out looking and feeling your best.
